We saw Fireproof today and definitely recommend it! Please go and see the movie soon and support the theaters that are showing it.
We were happy to see such a great movie with great morals and teachings! May God continue to bless Sherwood Baptist Church!

FIREPROOF
From the creators of Facing the Giants, the movie FIREPROOF opens this weekend. This movie is an action-packed love story centered around firefighters and their marriages. Statics show that marriages in and out of the church are failing and divorce is becoming prevelant, especially among our service personnel. This movie hopes to bring marriages back together, strengthen marriages, and restore what God joined together.
The movie opens this weekend and you can click here to see what theaters in your area will be showing the movie and how to order advance tickets.
In support of the movie and their local firefighters, a few couples from our church had a vision to share tickets with their local fire station. God had bigger things in store. FIREPROOF RALEIGH grew from their vision and is enabling them to provide every Raleigh City firefighter two free tickets to see FIREPROOF, dinner, courtesy of Chick-fil-A at Triangle Town Center, free childcare, and a "DO NOT OPEN until after the movie" envelope with guidance on how to respond to the powerful message presented in this movie.
I hope that you will see the movie and will encourage your local firefighters, police, EMT, etc. to see the movie too...maybe even offer to buy their tickets...

Labor Day
On Labor Day, the dogs said they were bored and wanted to do something fun. They said it was too pretty to stay indoors and wanted to go outside.
So, on Monday, we decided to take advantage of the great weather and head up to Kerr Lake. We found a great area of the lake that was pretty open so the dogs could run and play frisbee. Here are some pictures of the fun afternoon.
