Puppies - Week Five

Here are a few pictures from the past week or so. Five week old puppies sure are a LOT of work! I feel like we have 8 toddlers running around in 8 different directions! They are very active and vocal and Polly enjoys getting up throughout the night to "check on them" aka "wake us up!"

They are getting bigger each day and we are trying to keep up with the pictures. I hope to update more but we'll see how things go.

Don't you think you need a little gray friend at YOUR house?!? If so, give us a call...can you resist this face?

Polly vs. Puppies

The first picture is of Polly when we first got her. She was probably around 7 weeks old in this picture. This was one of Polly's favorite toys and it went through multiple "surgeries" to stitch back up. It even went into hiding for a while and recently made a debut back into the toy box.

This picture is of one of the puppies with the same yellow bone. Some of the puppies began playing with the toys last night. It was funny to watch them. I forgot to get a picture since I was having so much fun watching them. I'll try again later.

We are now 4 weeks old!

The puppies turned 4 weeks old yesterday. They are definitely getting bigger and more active. They are really fun to watch as they play with each other and Polly. We took them out again last night to let them play on the floor and of course after a little dinner and playing, they all ended up asleep. Here are a few pictures of them.

We still have the majority of them available, so if you know anyone that wants a Weimaraner, please email us for more details.

Here are a few more videos.

PUPPY FOOD!! And Sleepy Sunday Afternoons

This past Wednesday, the puppies were 3 weeks old and we began them on softened puppy food over the weekend. They seemed to LOVE it...but I guess since it is something new and not plain 'ole milk, I would like it too! They are pretty funny to watch. We spread the food out in 4 bowls so they don't get too crowded.
I think Polly may be enjoying the break from nursing!

Sunday afternoon we decided to spread out the blanket and get all the puppies out. We turned on our fireplace (I say "turned on" because they are gas logs not a real fireplace) and all hung out in the floor...for a while. As you can see from the pictures, they all, including Polly, ended up taking a nap in front of the warm fire! What a way to spend a dreary, cold Sunday afternoon!!

Here are a few videos from this weekend too. Just ignore the background tv noise...

Here's one of the puppies hanging out with Polly. This is the one that Mike calls "Frank, the Tank" because he is so big.

Puppies trying their new food.

More food.

Here's one of the puppies "up close and personal" with Polly. It is funny to watch Polly as she endures the constant motions of the puppies all over her. They are big enough to crawl over her from back to front when she is laying down. This one wanted to check her out!

Guess who came to visit??

On Saturday, we had a visitor from down the road. He heard that Polly had her puppies and wanted to check on them. However, Polly was not very excited to see him and got QUITE upset that he had come over without letting her know.

This visitor's name is Shorty, although you can see from the pictures his name doesn't quite fit...he's a Great Dane. I don't know if Polly was more upset that there was something in HER yard or that he looked like a small white horse!

Here's Shorty:

Puppies Week Two

Here are some updated puppy pictures - Week Two:

They love to snuggle together and get under the ledge that we have around the walls.

Dinner Time...once again!

Mike calls this one "Frank the Tank" because he is SO big. He is a healthy puppy and doesn't miss dinner time. He is quite the snuggler though.

More Snuggle Pics

No, we're not getting attached! (At least that is what we keep telling ourselves!)

I think Polly needed some alone time. She will come over to sit with us or snuggle with us in bed like old times. She still wants to be close to them though and will jump up when one starts getting loud. Polly is extremely cautious when we take one out of the box to play with, but is great to let us hold them for a while. She is a great Mom but I am sure feeding and cleaning those guys all day and night can be quite tiring!
